Neoclassicism

The new artistic style that rocks Europe since 1760.

This new style imitates the classical Greek and Roman art.

It has begun in opposition to the Baroque and Rococo styles.

Neoclassicism is a revival of the styles and spirit of classic antiquity inspired directly from the classical period, which coincided and reflected the development in philosophy and other areas of the Age of Enlightenment.
