The Declaration of Rights of Men and the Citizen
Yesterday, the declaration of Rights of Men and the Citizen passed by France’s National Constituent Assembly. It was directly influences by Thomas Jefferson, working with General Lafayette, who introduced it. The content of the document emerged from the ideals of the Enlightenment. The Declaration has been created to protect equally all the people by the law.
The first article of the Declaration says: Men are born and remain free and equal in rights. More articles are going to be written with the pass of the time to have equality in the laws.
