THE SECOND CARLIST WAR
In this February of 1846, Cervera ( Lérida ) has been sacked by the Carlist Benet Tristany.
After the attempt of Carlos Luis de Bourbon y Braganza ( Carlos VI ) son of Carlos María Isidro de Bourbon and Maria Francisca de Braganza , as a Carlist pretender to the throne, to marry Isabel II and gain power, he gets rejected by her , and she ends up marring his cousin Francisco de Asia de Bourbon . It seems that his followers return to the charge revolting again, as we can see in the sacking of Cervera by Benet Tristany, supported by some Carlist bands that had remained in the mountains of Catalonia surviving by banditry and farmers overwhelmed by the crisis of the countryside before the establishment of the modern liberal state.
We can call them " Matiners" because they operate at dawn, sheltered from the darkness when the Liberal army rests .
if you catch the flame of these rebels we can see in a new Carlist War .
